I have inattentative ADD. I've tried Straterra, Ritalin, Adderall XR, Adderall short acting, and now Provigil. Seems nothing works. I put the milk in the oven last night and my medicine in the fridge.
Am I just getting more stupid as the years go on (I'm 44 yrs old), or isn't there some medicine that I haven't tried?? My pdoc just says, "Well, honey, there's not much else to try."

Dexadrine, Desoxyn, Abilify
Check'em out. Abilify is an antipsychotic but I read that sometimes it works in children with ADHD.

Add a NMDA antagonist like dextromethorphan or better yet memantine which should prevent the build-up of tolerance, at least to some extent, tothe ADD-type meds. How about taking Strattera and Adderall at the same time? That may help as well. Calcium carbonate may also help by preventing the elimination and aiding the absorbtion of the amphetamines you take. But just my opinion, if adderall isn't cutting the mustard I doubt dexedrine or desoxn would help much. I know for me, adderall at the right dose is always more mentally a physically stimulating as well as long-lasting as oppossed to the more subtle dexedrine and desoxyn. But YMMV.
Good Luck,
Justin
