Can anyone tell me which is the fastest acting benzodiazepine?? Do the "Z" drugs (zopiclone etc.) work any quicker to induce sleep than the benzos?
What about liquid forms of these drugs - would they have a quicker onset of action??
Thanks!

I believe xanax is the fastest acting and the shortest half life. i really like ambien as a sleep aid. 1/2 hour max and I'm out.

The fasting acting oral benzodiazepine available in the U.S. is probably alprazolam (Xanax). The fasting acting benzodiazepine (period) is probably IV midazolam (Versed).

But other than the syringe walking stand I don't intend to walk to classes with, I would have to say KLONOPIN WAFERS are faster acting than Xanax immediate release HANDS DOWN.

>You shouldn't inject Valium into anybody. Ask I asked my oral surgeon, Versed is a synthetic Valium that was created because Valium causes subcutaneous scarring that leads to infection and all sorts of nastiness.
If anyone tells you they are injecting valium into anybody, they're probably referring to Versed because Valium is a popular name and Versed isn't.
I have to tell people Klonopin is "like Valium" if they start asking me what it is. Still, Klonopin Wafers are best because injecting things are not fun and Wafers dissolving in your mouth are =)
