i know that the lithobid is an extended release of lithium.Does it make a big difference taking the extended release rather than the regular lithium? are the side affects less on the lithobid? is there less of a chance that your thyroid will go with the lithobid? Has anyone noticed a difference in the way the feel taking the lithobid?

I have taken both and have not noticed any real difference between the two. The lithobid can mess with your thyroid though. That happened to me at high 1500. But treating it with synthroid if that happens is not a major problem. You just have to be ckaecked regularly. I went off the lithium and my thyroid returned to normal so the synthroid was discontinued.
