Bottomed Out

Posted by Sinnielou on April 24, 2004, at 9:35:49

I don't know what happened, but last night I bottomed out cryed for hours and hours on end and I was to the point that I thought I was going to have to check myself into the hospital. My daily cocktail is 150mg of effexor xr in the am and 75mg in the evening and 7.5mg of apo-zopiclone before bed. Of course being the weekend i can't get to the doctors.
Anyone know if I can take an Ativan with what I already take if things start to get bad again?

I doubt there would be a problem, but you should probably discontinue the zopiclone in the meantime. Ativan should help you sleep, and you would not risk a synergistic effect when added to the zopiclone.

Better yet - call your doctor. You will probably get an answering service. Tell the service that it is an emergency. They will either contact the doctor or someone that would cover for him.

Hi again.

I think I was unclear with what I wrote. What I was trying to say is that it would probably be a good idea to stop taking the zopiclone if you do decide to take the Ativan. Again, I suggest that you clear it with your doctor what are your intentions.

I'm sure it will. Good luck. In the meantime, perhaps you can keep yourself distracted by doing something you really like.
