I have a problem..I have been on Zoloft from the ages of 13-17. When I got off of the medication, I did it cold turkey. My first year off I really didn't have any withdrawal symptoms but after that year, that's when I started to get sick. I started vomiting, Having chest pain, irregular heartbeat, dizziness, and many other symptoms people listed in the forum. I am 20 now, and I still have some side effects. Is it going to go away.. or because I didn't taper off, am I going to suffer for the rest of my life?
Any Information is helpful..
Thank you..

Did you say that you had no withdrawl for the first year ???
I would be under the *strong* impression that what you are experiencing is not zoloft withdrawl, it is extremely unlikely that you would be experiencing problems a year after being ok.
I would think that you are probably experiencing a return of your depression, and/or syptoms of panic, you may need to treat them.

One year without problems? that sure has nothing to do with Zoloft withdrawal. Sounds like an other pysical or mental disorder. Got depressed again? or something like that? Better talk to a doctor about his. Have you already? what did the doctor say?

Definitely not Zoloft withdrawal one year later. Are you taking any other medications at all now?
If so check on the side effects of these meds. If not you should see an MD for your symptoms. Good Luck! DJ

Ok....well...I did think about why I have not had any side effects for one year..and now that I have thought about it I did overlook 2 VERY IMPORTANT symptoms..shortly after I quit the medicine, I did experience both fatigue(and I'm a pretty fit guy) and I became quite aggresive..also, now that I think about it..I did have a buzzing/ringing in my ear. I didn't really think it had anything to do with the medicine, I just thought It was because of work. I told my doctor about that today and he said it could've been because of the medicine.
Is there anybody out there who quit cold turkey...or know of any solutions?? Any info will be helpful...
thank you...
