Seems to be the only thing that works. I don't mean mood elevation , just feeling I think ..'normal'.

Seriously..
I had what the doc called 'scarlet fever' (old british name-maybe step throat?)when I was a kid..it really freaked me out- loads of hallucinations , my joints froze couldn't bend them, rash etc.It was left late in the illness before it was treated
When looking at symptoms on net of this fever I found it didn't gel..I still don't know what it was.
I often wonder if that has something to do with my problems now.

Hmm...have you heard of PANDAS, which stands for Pediatric Autoimmune Neuropsychiatric Disorders Associated with Streptococcal infections?

Usually it is OCD and tic disorders they're talking about, though.

And, there is this new theory, the Immune Theory of Depression

Immune theory of depression is on the program of the annual mood disorders conference--

Well..

I'm 99% sure that it was scarlet fever and then I had rheumatic fever , which explains the swelling joints and my heart arrithmias...and mental damage.
I guess my doc will dismiss it..Can't be given anti-biotics forever can I?--I'll have to do more web crawling.
Thanks Noa , that was very helpful
