Success Story--Bye Bye Klonopin!

Posted by cubbybear on March 18, 2004, at 12:43:18

For anyone who missed reading about it on other threads, I'm now "officially" off Klonopin, thanks to super-slow tapering over a period of many months + conversion to the equivalent amount of Valium at the tail end of the taper (.125 mg). What worked for me might not work for others and everyone experiences Klonopin differently; but if anyone would like to see the tapering schedule that I followed to get to 0 mg. from a high of 4 mg., let me know and I'll post it after I get back home next week. I'd also indicate the occasional withdrawal symptoms I experienced and how I dealt with it.

Hello,
There has been a great deal of discussion on this site in regard to Klonopin use. Most of it relates to the the drugs efficacy and how wonderful it is!! I think that it is essential that you discuss your tapering schedule and your experiences with it including any cons. There is a lack of posts regarding discontinuance symtoms, tapering schedules, and habituation with the long term use of this medication and other Benzos. Please post your experience!!!

Bravo for you and to your continued success.

Regards, Micro

thanks, much!--it's nice to have the simple things in life again, like a cup of caffeinated coffee or a glass of wine, that I had been avoiding during the long, drawn-out taper.
