At the risk of getting a redirect (what happened to the "just post to the board the poster posts on"?... but I digress). I wanted to ask you a question(s). In a previous thread, you discussed the use of green tea extract. I was wondering if you could let me know a bit more about your findings and specifics - dosing, frequency, etc. I don't like green tea as a beverage and would maybe like to try the extract.
Appreciation in advance.

I personally don't use the extract. If you don't like the beverage, then you're not going to like what I have to tell you. I open the tea bags, and chew on the contents for about half an hour. It tastes absolutelty bad but, this is the cheapest method to get the highest concentration of the contents.
You could experiment with standardized extracts (although I have not)
L-theanine is one of the components of green tea, however, this amino acid does not confer the benefit of the full extract. There are a few other compounds, one of which decreases the activity of COMT, an enzyme involved in the degeredation of norepinephrine, leading to higher levels of norepinephrine. Other studied effects involve significant increases in GABA concentration.
The effect is much longer lasting than coffee.
Best of Luck

Thanks so for the response. Well,~~~~ I don't think I'll be trying the "chew" method. I had to hold a regular tea bag to a bleeding tooth extraction site once and it wasn't a good experience.
I am going to try the extract and I'll see how I fare.
Thanks Again!!

That's if "what you want to do is support someone more than discuss an issue"...

So I would in fact like to redirect this thread, to Psycho-Babble Alternative. Here's a link:
