In reply to taking zoloft for anxiety, depression-WEIGHT GAIN!, posted by samey on December 10, 2003, at 10:57:48
When I was put on prozac I was told it was good for people with eating disorders.
I didn't gain any weight on it, nor lose, but I did manage to get my bulimia under control.
I have just gained a ton of weight because I quit smoking, yuk, so I know how you feel.
Don't worry, the weight will come off once you feel well and start getting more active.

In reply to EFFEXOR XR FOR ANXIETY / DEPRESSION--WEIGHT GAIN? (nm), posted by samey on December 10, 2003, at 11:20:44
I took effexor, too.
I didn't do too well on it--lots of yawning, which doesn't sound bad, but it can be a real pain.
As for weight gain?
I really don't know.
It just depends on my activity level.
If I feel down, I'm not likely to exercise, so there's weight gain.
Just to let you know, I was definitely at my thinnest with paxil.
This is the end of the thread.
