Celexa tends to make me lazy and without motivation, and Lexapro seems to give me energy but also some anxiety. I am trying to take a small dose of each to counteract those two SE's. Has anyone else tried this combo or heard about this combo before?
I was expecting to respond more similarly to these two drugs since Lexapro was to be a "better" Celexa, but the two drugs seem to have distinct differences for me.
Thanks for any help you can give.

How long were you on the Lexapro for?
Lexapro often produces anxiety early in treatment, but it usually disappears with time.

You should be careful with taking two drugs that are essentially the same. I would make sure it is OK with your doctor. This can cause problems.

> - ScottThanks for your post, Scott. I have been on a low dose of Lexapro (2.5 mg - I am extra sensitive to most all medications) for about a month now. It is good to know the anxiety might go away after a bit.

Thanks for your post, jlo820. Yes, I have a call in to my doc now. I am taking a very low dose of each - 5 mg of Celexa and 2.5 mg of Lexapro.
This is the end of the thread.
