Hi linkadge -

I've been a fan of the Onion for about 10 years, and it's a humor/satire "news" publication. They really were not making fun of depression sufferers, but the drug companies trying to cash in, as Jack said.

Let me share a few of my favorite recent Onion headlines:

New Fox Reality Show To Determine Ruler Of Iraq

N. Korea Wondering What It Has To Do To Attract U.S. Military Attention

Bush On North Korea: "We Must Invade Iraq"

U.N. Orders Wonka To Submit To Chocolate Factory Inspections

Last Living Tamagotchi Dies In Captivity

For me, sometimes the best anti-depressant in the world is the Onion. I hope you are not offended by it :)

Even the government of mainland China was "fooled" by the Onion.

O had run a "story" about how US congressioinal representatives were insisting on a new capitol building - or else (kind of like sports team owners who threaten to leave a town if they don't get a new stadium)

The Chinese media thought it was a genuine news story - and once the truth was revealed, were reluctant to publicly admit they had made a mistake.

My husband and son are big Onion fans & found the story hilarious.

This is the end of the thread.
