Hello Mitchiebabe..
It's me..(name change)
I quit Depakote erm ?? about 6 weeks ago because it depressed and made me angry .
Now I'm still miserable spending a lot of time in bed.
Question is ..could this med have a effect long after stopping it in my little brain..I haven't had hypomania..just trickles but mainly I'm a miserable old trout.
I'm awaiting a Neurontin increase because it tends to alleviate depression/anxiety.
Thanks sugarhoney

Slinky? That's an interesting new name :) I remember those slinky commercials from very LONG ago. So, what's your current meds and dosages? Are you still on Effexor, or did they pull the rug out from under you on that one? Honest injun, but I haven't found a "mood stabilizer" yet that I could get by on without at least a tiny dose of antidepressant. You *seemed* to be doing fairly well from what I remember on a little Effexor with your Neurontin and a *little* Depakote (I think 200mg/day). I've found low-dose Depakote+Neurontin to work quite nicely. Do you think you need a little Depakote to be added back in?mitchiebaby
