i cant seem to find anything that shows that non depressed patients dont get a high on ADs. This is such a common myth . they are seen as pep pills. does anyone know of any articles regarding this issue.

Personally... I don't see how anyone could get high on Paxil, or Zoloft, or anything similiar. If anyone thinks they are getting high on these drugs, they obviously don't know what a real high is.

It is a myth however, that ADs have no mood-enhancing effects in normal folks. A "normal" person who takes an SSRI for 6 weeks may find his desensitized state quite enjoyable, or maybe not - depends on the individual.

using "high" and AD's together is way off, too.

Actually, while it may be a common myth,
lots of litature dispells this. So it is more
ignorance of depression in gereral.
