Hi everyone,
I'm about to go up to 150mg effexorXr. I was on 75mg daily. My question is about the dosage, i still have alot of my 75mgXr caplets, that drug is expensive where i live, so i would love to use the ones i have paid for! Is it safe to take 2x75mg? Should i take 75mg at bedtime an another 12 hours after?
Have a great day everyone...

I take 2 X 75 mg Effexor XR and I take one in the morning and the other at dinner. My pdoc gave it to me like that because I just started a few weeks ago and had to start on 75. The next prescription will probably be for 150 mg once a day. Anyway, my doc said that I can take the doses whenever I want. It makes sense to space them 12 hours apart to keep more of a steady level of medication in the system.

I take 225 mg/day by taking three 75 mg pills all at once before bed. That's just me though.

I take two 150mg every morning. I am bipolar and Effexor has helped me tremendously along with Zyprexa. I have no side effects taking 300mg every morning.
