Wish me luck THE TIME HAS COME!!

Posted by ace on May 8, 2003, at 23:43:35

Last day of washout today. Nardil washout, considering how fast I came of the drug (after 5 months weaned for 8 days), has been not too bad at all.

The derealization, phobic anxiety and a little OCD are increasing. But Anafranil begins tommorrow. If it screws up I stop it, have at most 7 days drug free and start Parnate.

Preety sad actually. Today it was like the old days...i couldn't sit in the lecture hall for fear of an attack, all the anxiety came right back in my gut. I'm becoming slowly more s/conscious (Nardil had a good social phobia aspect to it!), but Anafranil has been seen to be effect for social phobia.

Feeling a bit down, irritated quite a bit and on edge.

I have LOTS of anectodal and clinical reports of Anafranil being brilliant for depression and ALL anxiety D/Os. So I'm reading 'em often!

TCA onset is usually between 7-21 days, faster than the mighty MAOIs. So only a week or so I'll feel better.

I continue to hold my head up....

I'm praying for you ocd brother!
My most sincere and best wishes to you!
I will be very interested to hear your comments, especially regarding effectiveness and side effects. I still remember my Anafranil experiences very well. Keep us all posted. Give the Anafranil time to work also.

Your support and posts have helped me heaps! Thank (nm) » McPac
