Hello, I am the research assistant for an author writing a book about midlife memory loss. She would like to hear real live stories from people who began experiencing memory loss after beginning to take prescription or over the counter medications. If this is you or you know someone who has experienced this -- please tell me your story!

My mother 55, has been taking Lithium, Depakote, and Thioridazine for Bipolar Disorder. She experiences short term memory loss, mild/moderate cognitive imparment (word/name confusion). It is difficult to say if this is actually dammage, or if they are ongoing side effects of the drugs.
These drugs are designed to slow the mind down.
Any other questions ??
