Why do antidepressants cause weight gain? Do they slow the metabolism, or cause us to eat too much?
I've gained 20 pounds on Zoloft, and now my doc has given me lithium also. I'm trying to lose weight, but finding it very difficult.

they slow the metabolism down and also make you crave carbs its two bad things for weight loss so it of course becomes a gain.
