Two days ago I added 30mg of remeron to my current cocktail of celexa, low dose of selegiline, and pregnenolone. Even though I am an atypical depressive (with hypersomnloescent tendencies), I experience sleep disruption during early AM hours.
As expected, the remeron has made me feel pretty sleepy and out of it so far. Curiously, my appetite hasn't changed yet.
Can anybody tell me how much of the somnolescence is transient and how much is going to stay with me. I'd just like to get an objective idea of the long-term adaption to this drug.

I am currently taking 45 mgs., but was on 30 mgs. for over a year. The lower the dose, the sleepier you will be. Remeron does help me sleep, but I don't get daytime drowsiness from it at all. It has increased my appetite and I have gained 30 pounds while being on it. The weight didn't come right away, it took months. I have heard quite a few people mention it was the same for them. You might want to monitor your weight while you are on it if you are concerned about that. I found it to be a great med for depression. I feel great on it. I hope it goes well for you!
