Hi, How is trileptal as far as drowsiness? I have problems with drowsiness even without meds and so don't want a med that makes it even worse. I want to try it for possible bipolar II. Thanks Michael73

Luvox wipes me out. For 5 years I took Klonopin and Anafranil and was tired a lot on them too. Michael73

I have been on Trileptal since June 2002, and it made me a little drowsey at first. All meds usually do that to me. The past few months though I couldn't get enough sleep. My Pdoc said the Trileptal was probably causing sodium depletion and titrated me down until I'm down to 150 mg. twice a day. I was up to 600 mg. twice a day. And now I feel awake again. It did really work great for me though for a long time so it is worth a try. Good luck!!
