SSRI's will intensify orgazms to some degree
and I am in the same position you are.
Just came off Celexa and its like - what the h**
was that ???.It really is a matter of time untill your serootonin receptors normalize. I've been off twice and it does return but just takes time.
Two things that can help speed up the process
are folic acid (which not only raises serotonin but also encourages receptor density adjustemnts)
and ginkgo. While the effects of ginkgo may wear off after discontinuation, it can provide relief untill your brain returns to normal. Finally be adstainant. Cut back about half to about half or a quarter regualr frequency and this will help with intensity issuses.
Ginkgo takes about a week or so to improve sexaul problems.Good Luck

There can be about a bazillion reasons for this, and I sure don't claim to know them all. It may just get better with time, although you may see ups and downs.
I've often wondered why this has gone from a very frequent problem to a fairly infrequent problem for me. One of my top theories involves weight (which obviously couldn't apply in your case unless you're overweight)...in retrospect, the problem surfaced when I started putting on weight, and improved dramatically just about the time I shed a lot of pounds years later. But there were lots of other things going on around the same time I lost weight, so I can't be sure.
One odd thing I've noticed is that, on a day where I get very emotional about something (usually meaning anger), orgasms later that day tend to be much more intense. Weird...maybe anger raises my testosterone levels. And abstaining for awhile *does* seem to add to the intensity.
This is the end of the thread.
