I'm just getting over stomach flu. I was really sick for about 5 days and during that time I didn't take my adderall (figured I didn't need it, I needed rest and it would stimulate me). I started eating normally again on Monday so I started taking my adderall again and I feel like it';s not working. I feel really restless and unfocused and extremely tired. I slept 12 hours last night and still needed a nap today. It's not an entirely unpleasant tired, just really mellow. I am also voraciously hungry (since I started eating again) like I can't get enough food. Do you think it's just my body recovering from the flu or did not taking my adderall for those 5 days affect me? I should also mention I've been under a lot of stress lately- my mother was just diagnosed with stage 4 stomach cancer and has been in and out of the hospital since Thanksgiving. I think secretly I fear that this exhaustion and hunger is depression rearing its ugly head.

I should also mention that I'm still having "digestive issues" (read-diarrhea. Funny I just posted last week about being extremely constipated! So nice to share this with you all). Also I've been crying about once a day about my mom but it's felt like normal sadness, not depression.

babs,
I'm not sure if you read my post but I have this problem with Adderall in general. It seems to be selective when it works. As far as your issue I find that it makes me feel really tired and disphoric when I'm getting sick or I am over tired. I'm thinking that when your body is trying to fight off an infection it puts all its energy into that and leaves no room for producing neurtransmitters( like dopamine ) that your body needs to produce an effect with Adderall.
Hope that helps
