klonopin and weight gain

has anyone gained weight on klonopin or xanex taken over long term? thanks-jodi

I have, but I don't know if it's because of the klonopin or the prozac. Bummer.

I think in combo with an SSRI yes. At least for me.

I did gain a little weight on clonazepam, I think about 7 lbs. It wasn't due to the drug chemistry though, I dont think. It was due to the subtle lifestyle changes. Being anxious burns a lot of energy, I would shake, and I couldn't sit still, had a knot in my stomach most of the time, when the clonazepam relaxed me, all that changed and I'm sure thats the reason for the weight gain.
