Hi everybody,
I've missed talking to you. I've been busy with my new boyfriend who is now my fiance. For the last year I've been taking Celexa 20mg., Seroquel 100 mgs, Buspar 15mg X2, Nortriptyline 50 mg. I already quit lithium, which I did not need, and which sedated me even further!!
The problem is that, while I have been contentedly stable, I would like to regain both my libido and my full intelligence. I used to excel at writing, but find I am unable to perform my rudimentary job writing functions in a timely manner.
Which med should I reduce to attain my goals?
Please help me by writing in with your experiences.
I have a great pdoc but I only see him once a month. My fiance is very supportive of my decisions. I look forward to hearing from any and all of you.

Hi Mimi,
Congratulations on your new relationship;
my experience is that if any drug does NOT
affect sexual appetite, it is lithium; i
don't if that is the case with all, but
is it possible that some of the other can
be reduced or eliminated and the lithium
reintroduced at a lower dose?Just an opinion;

>Hi Squiggles,
It turns out that I don't need lithium as I am not truly bipolar. The lithium was theoretically used as an augmentation to AntiD's.
When I quit lithium I immediately became a lot smarter and quicker in reflexes. Well worth quitting. Oh yes, and I could go to the bathroom again after not being able to for one year.
I would never take lithim again.
Last night I decided to cut my 20mg of Celexa by 1/2. I'm doing fine today, more clear-headed. We'll see how it goes.
Thanks for posting your opinion!
