in your opinion which of the common SSRI should be the less sedative?

Hello,
This message board is busy! I can't find my original post (I did a search) or the replies to it, but I wanted to thank those who did reply.
I appreciate the information on depression in HIV+ individuals; however, since I'm a woman going through perimenopause, testosterone isn't an option--I'm aggressive enough as it is! :D I'd asked my doc about DHEA previously.
I have decided to get off Effexor and not substitute any other ADs for now; I'd like to experience a no-numb period for awhile. I am also cutting down on the Ativan that I take to sleep; I was very interested to read about people taking Neurontin to wean off Klonipin. I'm taking Neurontin for muscle pain, but maybe it will help with Ativan withdrawal. (I've weaned myself off it successfully before).
My strategy for getting off Effexor is to take the beadlets out of the caps. Today is my sixth day on the first reduction, and I've had no ill effects.
Thanks again!
