Hey, i have a few questions and comments? First off all Im taking remeron 30mg, zoloft 50mg and xanax .5mg and klonopin .5mg.
I took an adderal today. I felt great, out going , socialible, a bit anxious, though my benzo dose was low.
Now will dexadrine be better, or cause more axiety?? Im also upping my zoloft to 75mg?? I dropped my desipramine which doesnt get me going>>>>>>>>>>
should i wait and give zoloft a chance to see if it will help with motivation ?????
I may try this combo:
Remeron 30mg bedtime
Zoloft 75mg am
Xanax .5mg am/ klonopin 1mg noon
Adderal OR dexadrine AM??please help
Also it sems like adderal gave me less anxiety and more motivation than a cup of coffee
Also does adderal or dexadrine lower seizure threashold as does desipramine??

(I only come on here about once a week or so now, using the internet too much & watching too much TV are lowering my quality of life, so I can't give you very quick responses anymore). Anyways,
Only change one thing at a time, otherwise you won't know what is doing what.Dexedrine & Adderall by themselves make many (most) people anxious. They are both clean less-neurotoxic pharmaceutical forms of street "speed", but they are still "speed" nonetheless- in other words they aren't meant for the anxiety prone. I find if I don't take Klonopin with my Dexedrine then it makes me jittery/shaky, although less so than a No-Doz does (200 mg= 2 cups coffee) but that always depends on the person & the dose.
I would just stick with the Zoloft increase to 75 mg but keep in mind that when you change a dose of an SSRI antidepressant there is a 3-4 week lag time before you will feel the effects.
Also, Your doctor is going to be wary of giving you a prescrip for Adderall or Dex since they are Schedule II controlled DEA triplicate prescrips with no refills & only a 30 day supply allowed. In other words getting a scrip for these or Ritalin is a major hassle & only worth it if you have ADD, or anhedonic/severe lethargic depression. (If you overdose on something, or combine these with too much GHB or whatever, then your doctor could be liable for giving you a schedule II med in the first place- that is probably why he wants you off xanax).
Dexedrine arguably causes less anxiety than Adderall, but doesn't last as long.
A note of caution: if you take GHB and have the inevitable 'dopamine rebound' that could be a problem with Dex or Adderall. Too much dopamine will cause anyone to have the so called "amphetamine psychosis" where you temporarily act similar to a paranoid delusional schizophrenic- not fun.
Once you get your Zoloft to the right dose and have been there a month or so you shouldn't have any problems & won't need Adderall/Dexedrine or even caffeine in the morning.

3 beers, you should be my pdoc! LOL, here is an update.
Yes your right. I took that adderal, and i did some g. I remember at night, i took a remeron which did knock me out but woke up at 4 am, from dopamine rebound and the adderal which i took at 5pm, a was hearing shit, and very parinoid. Luckily i had a xanax. Boy, though when i was on the adderal, and taking g, i was rambling on and on bla bla bla. I also didnt g out at all, thats why i like it.But anyway, today i took my first 75mg of zoloft and only .25 mg of xanax. FOR some reason, i was tired all day> MMM i thought id bee climbing the walls. I also stopped the despiramine 4 nights ago, so i think lessened my anxiety. Should i stay at 75 for a week, then up it to 100mg???
YA i dont wanna screw with adderal yet because its not perscirbed, and i dont want to get a urine test and come up positive for ampheitimes. Note im on probation. The adderal did givee me alot of modivatiion, talkative, athough i took the g. What im thinking is when i get my zoloft up to 100mg, and klonopin 1mg like you said, and im still feel sluggish, then ill go to my doc and request adderal or dexadrine. Ill say, that i cannot concetrate and need a stimulant because im very sluggish and stuff.3 beers, your a savior. I though i was pretty smart on pharmocology. Im also going to be writing a book on gbl. I believe im very very knowlegable which g. I have many many stories to tell in this book. My theorty on g is this. It can be so devistating deadly, yet i feel its the most potent and best mood enancer ever made. Also just the right dose makes your feel like the shit!! just like dexadrine, so so so social and outgoing, yet a bit more puts you alseep>>> mmmm

> 3 Beers.................Hi 3 Beers, I would like your opinion on something because you are very knowledgeable in the areas that I have questions. Hopefully, this won't be too boring. About 2 years ago I started on prozac for depression which worked well but I did nothing but gain weight on it. My doc added Wellbutrin SR to combat the weight gain which didn't help at all. He suggested I try dropping the prozac altogether. After the prozac wore off I had a week from hell which I attributed to PMS since the timing was right. When I told my doc about it he put me back on a low dose of prozac (10 mg/day) in addition to the 300 mg/day of wellbutrin SR. After being on the combination a couple of months I started having very strange physical symptoms which I didn't initially associated with the ADs. I started having pain in my arm muscles and pain in my hands that was like arthritis. My weight gain increased dramatically and I suddenly started experiencing extreme fatigue that was so debilitating that I literally slept days away and getting out of bed was the hardest thing I did all day. My doc took me off the prozac entirely. After it wore off, the fatigue generally lifted and the muscle and joint pain went away. During this timeframe I was doing research, mostly here on p-babble, on stimulants since he had mentioned them as a possibility if the fatigue didn't lessen. To make a long story a little shorter, my research led me to believe that I might be ADD (the form that I believe Fachad refers to as hypoactive ADD). My doc looked at the info and agreed that I fit the diagnostic criteria and I am currently taking 40 mg/day dexedrine SR along with the wellbutrin SR (300 mg/day). I love the dexedrine and find that it actually makes me feel calmer during the day when I'm at work so I'm not running around stressed out trying to do 50 things at once. Anyway, during the last few months, I have had periods of depression that come and go. Sometimes it's only for a few day, but the last one lasted for several weeks. When I mentioned it to my doc, he indicated that he thinks I still need an SSRI in the mix. I told him that I'm reluctant to go there based on my prozac experience. I've been trying to research the different SSRIs and see if I can find one that might work for me without causing the fatigue and weight gain and I was thinking zoloft. Do you have any opinions in this case? My doc said that he thought the dex would counteract those symptoms, if they were to occur, but I'm just so reluctant, however, I don't really like the rollercoaster ride that I'm currently on.
This is the end of the thread.
