I am a bipolar II who switched from Neurontin, Effexor, and Risperdal to Depakote, Effexor, and Geodon. Once ending the Risperdal, I immediately started rapid cycling. This lasted for about a month until I realized I had a good thing going with the Risperdal and switched back. I had originally gone off of it because of it's propensity to cause weight gain.
I now realize that I was lucky to have found something that worked so well for me. Besides the insane price, this is good stuff.
What have other people's reaction been to Risperdal? Have others found it to be effective for rapid cycling or does Geodon just tend to promote rapid cycling? I feel so much better- once you find something that works, STICK TO IT! :)
Best wishes,
Heather
