Ephedra is supposed to be safe up to 100 mg a day IF you are healthy. However, the use of ephedrine in any form (Ma Huang, etc.) can be dangerous for a lot of people, including those with high blood pressure, heart disease, seizure disorder, diabetes, thyroid disease and other medical disorders. It is also not recommended for anyone taking certain pyschiatric medications, MAOIs, drugs for Parkinsons, and a whole laundry list of other drugs.
In other words...best to get your doctor's OK, and use with caution.
This is the end of the thread.
