I am currently on Wellbutrin -- 450 mg/day but working my way up to 600 mg/day. Would it be wise to go on a low carb diet (not too low carb, I just have practically been surviving on bread and I was thinking of cutting it out)? My concern is whether or not the change to a lower carb diet would in some way increase my body's response to the Wellbutrin, putting me at a higher risk for seizures.

I doubt it. 600mg is a LOT of wellbutrin, I hope you know that. You might start by just making sure you're eating good heavy multi-grain bread. I was on a low-carb diet, though, and it didn't hurt me at all. :)

Did your doctor say you could take 600 mg/day? After 450 mg, the Wellbutrin dose-response curve flattens and no more gains can be made at even higher doses.
Plus: "This antidepressant has a narrow therapeutic index in terms of the dose needed for antidepressant efficacy versus the dose that causes seizures.57 The minimum recommended dose for antidepressant response is 300 mg/day and a number of patients will need the maximum recommended dose of 450 mg/day. At doses of 450 mg/day or less, the seizure risk is 0.4%. Increasing the dose to 600 mg/day causes a five-fold increase in the seizure risk..."
