I had taken stemetil (prochlorperazine) about 20 tablets intermittently. This drug has created havoc in my life.
Severe fatigue, low drive, memory cognital deficiency, muscle rigidity, muscle spasms -especially scalp muscles, drug intolerance, impotence and many more.I've tried various antidepressants, any medication seem to do more harm than good. even ginkobiloba, hypericum and b-complex only seem to increase muscle rigidity instead of alleviating the problem.
I read that stemetil is dopamine antaganist so maybe dopamine depletion s the cause of all problem. until dopamine levels are improved nothing may help.
Will dopamine agonist like amantadine/amineptine help?
Or is anything else better than this.kindly help. I've been suffering from it since 1998
Thanks
Rajesh

All of the dopamine agonists are tested for antidepressant qualities, but only a few really do something. Mirapex has been shown to help depression and bipolar disease. So has bromocriptine.
