This is day number three without effexor for me. I'm also quitting smoking cigs which i think might be adding to my pain, but not too much since I'm using the patch. Does anyone know how long I will feel this aching feeling behind my eyes? It's like I can't even look around without this weirdness and pain. I'm thinking that maybe smoking pot will relieve me slightly of these symptoms but I could be wrong...does anyone have any suggestions, aspirin isn't even working...I hate this!

smoking pot is a good idea, try that and see if it helps your eyes, let me know if it works

I'll tell you on Monday, after a few days of trying...I've seen other people say something about benadryl helping...anyone have thoughts on that?

I really feel for you... when I got the headache etc coming of effexor I could hear my eyes focussing if that makes sense!!
It does get better though hun, honest!! Giving up smoking too.. I know when i tried the patches they also gave me a headache... maybe try one thing at a time?!
Nikki
(ps - I didn't say this - but yes, smoking pot did help ease it - helped me relax and chill away from it if it makes sense)

I fear others on this board think I gave you bad advise, but anyway how are you doing? Did you get off the effexor and cigarettes? Are you feeling better?

Actually, other than a little irritability I'm doing great. I'm off cigarettes, and effexor and it seems like every day is getting better, I'm actually going to check out st. johns wort...any thoughts?
