Hi,
Back again to let you know that thanks to all the support you gave me through my tough time, I am on top of things again. If it wasn't for your advice, comments and help, I don't think I would have made it! Coming here and having messages from you made the day worthwhile!!!!!
I am now on a good combo of meds: Lithium, zyprexa and cogentin and I feel really good!!! Still some anger in there though but at least all the paranoia and psychosis has gone and I can now walk with my head held high!!!
I also have a good team with the health workers and therapist which I have never before had. All the others, I couldn't open up to express what I was going through but now I have three that I can talk to which is a real breakthrough for me. Not sure I like the side effect from the zyprexa, weight gain which I have put on a few unwanted kilos but what the heck!! It's doing me good and that's the main thing!!!!!
Thanks so much again guys for everything!!!!!!kerry B

Hi Kerry - I'm so glad you're feeling better. I'm also doing better although life feels as though it's been hectic.
My bed & breakfast;hiking holiday with hubby was great; my son stayed with his 24 yr old sister where she lives about 1 1/3 hours away. He wanted to stay there, so she helped him find a group house for guys 16 - 21. It's very structured, same rules as we have!! He can get therapy there & has to attend school in Sept. I'm so relieved. When he came back to get some clothes etc, we had a big hug & he said he loved it there. 6 kids live there; 24-hour staff; great!
I'm still planning to put an "update" on PB so I don't have to write all the details to different people who've personally supported me. Maybe I'll get a chance to do it later today.
SOOO glad to hear you're feeling better Kerry.
Also your support has been invaluable for me!!Hugs, Kath

Dear Kath,
I'm SOOOOO glad to hear about yous son and that he is finally settling down and has found somewhere he feels contentment with!
Funny how they can't take our rules and regulations but when it comes from someone or somewhere else they accept them!!!! At least he's happy and when he's happy you are too. It sounds like it has taken a great weight off your shoulders and I'm so pleased, you were going through such a rough time!!!
I believe that if we just perservere, something good will come out in the end!!!! I stick to that motto!!!!!
I am doing really well since I started on all this new medication, it agrees with me. They have finally cracked the code to my metabolism!!!! I've slammed on the weight, trying so hard to watch what I eat but the weight just keeps increasing, supposed to be a side affect and boy, I sure don't like it, but I suppose it is better to be well with a bit of weight on than be unwell and skinny!!!!
Really good to hear from you. You have been in my thoughts and prayers and I guess they have been answered!!!!!!
I don't come on here very often but I hope you stay happy and your son gets the therapy and gets his problems sorted so he can have some relief too!!!
Still thinking of you!!!!kerryB
