--------------------First the Feds want to privitize the net, then they want to regulate it. I guess they can make more money from taxing a private enterprise than they can from operating it as a wholey-owned subsidiary of the US of A.[never mind the early years of the TVA, before power company lobbiests started messing with it.]

Hmmm ... I think I just got a great idea. Maybe we could convince the Vatican to open up a shop. As a holy-owned subsidiary of the Throne of St. Peter, we could force the feds to keep their hands off of our religious practices. Especially with JP-II apologizing for the sins of the Church over the past few millenia, we might have a good shot at a sympathetic audience on this. Following up on JanetR's connections between a Catholic upbringing and depression (and my own experiences of the same), we might be able to turn that most powerful of the Church's scourges -- Guilt -- right back at them.
Besides, with dropping attendance at Mass and, therefore, less being tithed to the Church, they could probably use the money, too. Add to that the increasing average age of those of the cloth, the Vatican could probably use a source of meds that they could receive "at cost" with no middleman markup. It's a win-win situation.
It's not like they're all that new to dispensing cures for what ails anyway ... I mean, just go back to the dispensation of indulgences, modernize the operation with computers, update the database, and get a secure storefront up on the web. Simple thing, nowadays.

I feel the same way you do. I'm not even that crazy about using something that is not available at the corner drug store. I feel as if my mental health is always hanging by a thread, and at the mercy of the international postal system.I have just ordered my first bottle of reboxetine from London.
Anyway, from what I could surmise from the FDA statement, there should not be any problem if you stay within the guidelines proscribed in the following FDA document:

In general, I'm not sure you need to do much more than provide the pharmacy with a prescription script and a letter from your doctor describing your illness and how the drug is to be administered.

Okay, so I really thought your protest song was funny and I called my pdoc's answering machine this morning- so maybe it was about 4am-and sang it- he should have been happy that I didn't call him and sing it. Anyway he called me today and asked if I'm taking my zyprexa- like I would when I just got into my size 8 jeans, okay I have to lay down and hold my breath in order to pull up the zipper- but please, don't you think he's over- reacting????

I'm totally convinced I have an extreme hyperthymic personality and therefore won't crash and burn. I'm now redefining the symptoms of hypomania all curiously enough starting with S- Sex, Spending, Speeding, Sleeping (lack of), Sitting in chairs and falling out and Sex (I know I've already said that, but it bears mentioning twice). Mania is when Spouse takes Symptomatic person to pSych hospital for Shot of haldol and Seven days of Stabilizing meds and it's Sayonara happy high. So what do you think, should I send it in for the DSM V?
