I am taking 300mg of Wellbutrin daily, as two 150mg's of sustained-release in the morning and late afternoon. Would it be safe to increase the dosage with the SR? Should this be done in three doses of the entire tablet or is it safe to administer a partial tablet along with a whole one? I'm thinking probably not, but I could be wrong. Advice welcome.

Breaking the Wellbutrin SR tablet is not recommended since it is a sustained release pill and breaking it would mess that up. The usual way to increase the dose above 300 mg per day is to add a Wellbutrin SR 100 mg tablet.

Thanks for your answer. That's what I thought.
