Can you help steer me in a direction to find a Dr. who will
prescribe anitobesity meds. I used them successfully in
the past and would like to have this option to loose the
remaining 25 lbs I have left to goal. My family practitioner
stopped using meds when the phen/fen scare hit. I need
to work with a Dr. who believes in long-term management
of obesity. I work out 4-5 times per week - am eating
the right things but cannot loose this last 25 lbs. An email group
I belong to suggested I do a search for psychopharmacology
and your site came up on the search. Any help would be
greatly appreciated.

I think your Dr. was wise. Are you sure you want to
resort to meds? Fen/fen cost some people their lives,
and for a few lost pounds! I wouldn't have any faith
in a Dr. who would prescribe drugs for someone to lose
the last 25 lbs.Considering all you're doing - fitness, eating - maybe your body is
telling you that it's already at it's correct weight.
Don't be so obsessed with the numbers. Honestly, your
life would not change one bit if you woke up tomorrow
25 lbs. lighter. Have fun, enjoy life now.
