Just meant... do you have any pain in your ears or hearing changes? Just because that would suggest something wrong in your ear rather than an allergy. Also, if you've been swimming or potentially got something in your ear, do get it looked at by your doctor.
If you have itching in both (not one) ears at the same time as allergy symptoms in your nose, it makes it likely that the itching is part of the allergic reaction.
As you know, it can be difficult to know the cause of allergies because it can easily be due to something you don't realise. You can try to eliminate allergens, but it can be difficult to eliminate everything.
Have you tried a steroid nasal spray from a pharmacy? Your nose is connected to the nasopharynx at the top/back, and the nasopharynx is connected to your inner ears on both sites. A steroid nasal spray can help a wide range of allergy symptoms in the upper airway, especially after a few days. I assume you can buy topical steroids like Beconase and Flonase nasal spray from a pharmacy in your country, like you can here. In some countries, you can also get newer steroid nasal sprays without a prescription eg. triamcinolone spray, mometasone spray (brands vary). Some people say these are nicer to use with a better smell etc.

Hi,
it was itching in both ears along with the nose. Corticoid spray is prescription only in germany. In fact, all corticoid medicines are. If it doesnt get better i will go to urgent care again. I was there today they gave me something called fenistil.

Don't you have a family doctor you can go to?
Fenistil as in dimetindene? An antihistamine used in Germany. Did it help?
I'm surprised you can't get Beconase in German pharmacies. It's available without prescription most places in Europe. I can imagine there may be an issue with overuse of decongestant sprays when you can't buy more suitable allergy treatments like Beconase.

Personally, I wouldn't go for an antihistamine as the first choice if I were you... Partly because you already take a huge dose of Seroquel, which is already an antihistamine among other things.
In general, steroid nasal sprays are the safest and most effective treatment for nasal and upper airway allergies - apart from avoiding allergen exposure where possible. So, if the medication you got today doesn't work, you could try one.
Apart from sometimes causing a dry nose, the risk of major side effects from the tiny doses in conventional sprays is really low. Especially compared to decongestants, which are usually less effective with more side effects. And antihistamines, which are just less effective, mainly because there is a lot more to allergic reactions than histamine.

Hi ed,
i received Prednisolone 50mg tablets. Plus today i wash the bed with PH 5.5 body wash soap free. So hopefully it will be better now.
The LDN people say that LDN can temporarily worsen allergies.

Prednisolone 50mg, that's quite a lot! I think it should work rapidly, but it's normally very short-term at that dose. How much have you been given?

If you're feeling better in general, I think you should persist with the LDN.
Prednisolone 50mg/day for ten days - that's a lot for a nasal/upper airway allergy! It definitely has a good chance of working though, and soon! This dose is typical of what is used for a severe asthma exacerbation, following a visit to the emergency dept.
For nasal allergies, treatment with prednisolone would not normally exceed the 10 days you've been given. You will probably find that you can reduce to 25mg after a few days. That is up to you though, if you want to reduce oral steroid exposure.
If symptoms return after prednisolone, you should ask about getting topical nasal steroids, not more prednisolone.
Short-term prednisolone usually has very few side effects. Long-term, it has many, so it is useful to minimise use by switching to sprays etc.

In what way do you feel bad?
It usually relieves itching, runny nose etc within a couple of day.

Hi ed,
last night i slept on the couch in the living room and it was very good. There must be something bad in my room.
Today i will try with no meds to see. If i sleep well then there must be something in my room. I cleaned the floor. Maybe i am allergic to the cleaner. Another possibility would be the matress, the paint and the humidifier.
Hmm i will keep you updated.

Possibly, but the anti-inflammatory effect of prednisolone might not have worn off yet. Could be too soon to make a decision on the cause.

anionic surfactants, non-ionic surfactans, Soap, dyestuffs, auxillary supplies, scents and C8H10O2 Phenoxyethanol.
Yes, it is the first time i used that cleaner. Also i have used disinfecting agent for the blanket, matress cover and pillow. That might be the culprit. On the couch without the blanket and pillow i dont have allergy symptoms.

i am not taking it anymore. I think i had some psychological withdrawal symptoms because i took 100mg (like prescribed). On the couch without my blanket and pillow i am 100% fine. With Blanket and pillow i have some symptoms. In my room i have very severe symptoms.
I am at my dads place and i have been 85% fine with his guestbed.
I bought organic cleaner and i will clean the floor twice with it when i am back monday at night. I have my appointment with an allergy doctor on wednesday.

I will take all the stuff with me to the allergy doctor and hopefully we can test which cleaners/detergents are fine and which are not.

i am in my fathers guest bed. They use the same detergent like me but no disinfecting rinse. I have zero symptoms so it must be the disinfecting rinse. And the floor cleaner.

ivtook 100 once then one day nothing, then 25 and then nothing again. I cant find out what i am allergic to when i medicate myself heavily. I had a bit of a psychological withdrawal. is that possible?
