And I fainted on an escalator no less! My knees are a mess. People kept wanting to help me up but I just wanted to stay put. It was so embarrassing.

I can imagine. I'm sorry. I also am sorry I misread your post--I thought you were hiking! Well, embarrassed or not, I'm glad there were helpful people about. Nothing to be ashamed about fainting. Really.

It's 4 am and the new med didn't work. Do you think Haldol would do the trick. I am really to poke my eyes out with knitting needles.

What was the new med?
Haldol is actually activating. You want Thorazine. Did you get my list of sleep aids? There was some strong stuff on the list.

I will have to revisit the list. Thorazine doesn't make me tired anymore.

Of course, you could always just stop worrying about sleeping. Just let come as it may.

I'm hallucinating, I think the time to start worrying about sleeping has come.

Maxime, I'm concerned, too. O.K. this might sound real dumb, but what if you went to the hospital? I don't know how that is in Canada, or how the hospital is near you. How many days w/o sleep has this been? Please, can you safely put yourself in someone's care (without them giving you unwanted meds)?

My doctor just called and he is giving me Loxapac which is an old antipsychotic. I am off to pick it up now. I hope it works. The problem is, I ended up sleeping from 9 am to 3-4 pm today so I don't know if I will be able to sleep. We shall see.
Off I go!

Hi Maxie:
I'm so so sorry you're having all this happening to you. What a bummer.
I think fb has an excellent idea. If this sleep med doesn't work tonight or you feel funny, could you go to the hospital?
Hey girl, the whole point here is to FEEL BETTER, not hurt yourself!!
I haven't been posting much. We're having a BIG blizzard here and my furnace went out. I'm in the process of getting a new water pump...should be good as new and cozy warm very soon now.
Keep us posted!
Love and hugs,
Gayle

It might work tonight because I didn't take the Parnate today. I woke up too late.
I have so many financial problems plaguing me and I can't sleep and I have no one to talk to. I think I might kill myself. How did I let this happen? I want to die.

I've created a mess that I can't undo. And I have no one to help me or who cares. Why am I always ALONE. I'm there for other people but no one is ever here for me!
I'm going to bed.

Despite having slept until 3pm yesterday, the Loxapac worked and I slept another 12 hours. I am very grateful. Now let's see if it works two nights in a row ... that will be the test. Although I hope it doesn't always make me sleep for so long as I am used to only sleeping about 4 hours a night. But I guess it's because I needed it. Yay Loxapac
PS My life is still a mess.

Well, crumbs! Maybe tonight? Did it make you 'trance-out'? (What happens to me when sleep meds fail.)

Yes, it made me quite the zombie. I wouldn't have been able to get up and do anything without falling over. Maybe it's because I slept 12 hours the night before which is a lot for me. I am not giving up hope yet. :-)
